Tohoku University Global COE program, “Weaving Science Web beyond Particle-Matter Hierarchy” has been adopted for establishing global education hub from weaving science web by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in 2008.

The 1^st GCOE International Symposium of this program will be held at Conference Room of Multimedia Education and Research Complex, Kawauchi Campus of Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan, on the days 5th to 7th March, 2009.

The aim of this Symposium is to explore new science frontiers through “weaving science web beyond Particle-Matter hierarchy” among physics - astrophysics - mathematics - philosophy.

The Symposium is being hosted by this Global COE program.
